Adaptable laser source for semiconductor industry

Primoceler Oy was looking for a laser source for semiconductor industry processes. After previously doing years of development work and basic studies Corelase had exactly what customer needed: X-LASE, a perfect
industrial tool for cutting, drilling, patterning and ablation with minimal thermal load. Primoceler applied their own process around Corelase’s laser source according to their needs to make it compatible with prefabricated
automation device.

Outstanding yield

It was important for Primoceler to integrate laser and XY table as well as developing their own surface monitoring system: when surface is not flat, height of focus spot can simultaneously be adjusted while beam is operated along surface. This leads to excellent yield even with lower grade raw materials. Corelase helped providing always reliable technical support to finish the project.

Notable customers

As a result of X-LASE, Primoceler gained important international customers, including optoelectronics packaging projects for European Space Agency (ESA) as well as demanding high reliability projects for medical and aerospace industries.

“Corelase lasers enable versatile cutting for different materials. We have gained remarkably good results with our customers. They are extremely satisfied in technical and service quality”, says Primoceler Managing Director Ville Hevonkorpi.
